Your Invitation to the Ball!
It’s been described as Regal, Legendary, Outrageous, Epic and Dazzling and it’s not the private life of Britain’s Royal Family — it’s Night of a Thousand Gowns!
For thirty years, the volunteer members of the Imperial Court of New York have been wearing the biggest jewelry, the highest hair and more couture per square inch than an army of Parisian models, and all to raise money for charity! This year is no different as the ICNY turns its spotlight on one of the jewels in the crown of New York’s LGBT community: the Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund.
Celebrities, performers, drag fashionistas, camp icons and big hearts full of philanthropy will take Times Square by storm as we celebrate the historic 30th Reign of New York, Emperor XXV Tree and Empress XXX Sugar B. Real and witness the coronation ceremony of incoming Emperor of New York, Harrington! Still not sold?
Thirty Jewels in the Crown
Over the coming weeks and months, our own Empress XXVI Witti Repartee will lead a team of royal correspondents from around the Empire to share 30 Jewels with you — fascinating trivia, our glittering history, celebrity and fashion commentary, and fun tidbits about what makes Night of a Thousand Gowns so very special. We’ll share with you how The Imperial Court of New York has given millions of dollars away to charity over the last thirty years and how our drag empire intersects with LGBTQ culture, leather and fetish worlds, the bar scene and more!
We know you’ll be joining us at the 31st Annual Night of a Thousand Gowns on March 11, 2017 at the Marriott Marquis in the legendary, outrageous, epic and dazzling Times Square, the center of the known Universe! Get your early bird tickets here.
